Right now I'm reading the first book in Jim Butcher's 'Dresden Files' series, Storm Front. I'm not far into it so can't tell you too much, but from what I've gathered so far, it's about a professional wizard who gets contracted as a consultant to the Chicago PD to help solve a magical homocide.
I'm also working my way through the Chronicles of Narnia - I'm up the A Horse and his Boy
WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING, and WHAT DID YOU THINK OF IT?
I just finished reading The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which I haven't written a review for yet (though I'm sure everyone knows the story). I enjoyed it a great deal more than The Magician's Nephew.
WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WILL READ NEXT?
Hmmm, well I should read Jeffrey Eugenides Middlesex next (next in line for my book club), but I think I'll go for Neil Gaiman's American Gods, as it's been sitting on my bookshelf for a while, and staring at me in an attempt to make me feel guilty.
WILL YOU READ ANY HOLIDAY-THEMED BOOKS SOON?
Our bookclub is thinking of doing a holiday themed book for December ... but we haven't quite decided yet. But I will be reading Little Women soon - which, while not exactly a 'holiday-themed' book, is in fact MY Christmas book. It's the one I pull out every year to read under the Christmas tree.

Middlesex is making me feel guilty too. It's still uncracked after all these years...
Little Women is one of my favourite books too. I always feel that Jo and Laurie will always belong together. Such chemistry!
Thanks for commenting Mae.
I'm actually not feeling too guilty about Middlesex - I read it a year or so ago, but should probably give it another read before the meeting. I would recommend it to you, though. It's an odd book, but certainly interesting.
And yay for the Little Women love! Is it wrong of me to say that I don't mind that Jo and Laurie don't get together? I hate the fact that Laurie and Amy got married (there's just something wrong about that), but I like Professor Baer too much to pine for Laurie.
I'm pushing for Middlesex. That was my top read this year (so far). The writing is amazing.
I read Little Women a long long time ago, and only the abridged children's version, so I think there's a lot I missed. It does bother me a *lot* that Laurie and Jo doesn't get together! =(
And either I don't remember or I didn't know at all, but Laurie and Amy got married?!!!!!
Middlesex has been on my TBR for ages too, maybe it's time I read it.
I've had Middlesex in my TBR for ages too....
That Dresden Files book sounds interesting. Middlesex is on my TBR list too.
Yeah Rebecca for taking over Monday Musings. Thanks!!!
I have not read Midlesex either!
ongrats for taking over Monday Musings. I will there!
Read mine here!
It's funny everybody is commenting on Middlesex - I guess I'm on the same boat... it glares at me everynight from my nightstand... READ ME! READ ME! I just keep postponing. I'll get to it - I promise.
I didn't know that the Dresdan files were books. My husband would probably enjoy reading them.
Little women is one of my favorite holiday reads, too. It does feel like chritmas, dosen't it.
Looking forward to coming back next Monday for your first hosting of Musing Mondays!
First I'd like to say 'Good Luck' with taking over Musing Monday! :) I started reading Middlesex earlier this year, got half-way thru it and put it aside and I haven't finished it yet. I really need to though. I did like it. And I loved the Chronicles of Narnia. I bought the set and gave them to my boyfriends daughter and she is making her way thru each one. She's 9 and she's a READER! Yeah!
Thanks for taking over Musing Monday!!!
Here is my poste

I didn't realize the Dresdan Files were books. I was only familir with the tv show. I'll have to try to get my husband to read them since he likes the show.
