Teaser Tuesday is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading.
- Grab your current read.
- Let the book fall open to a random page.
- Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page.
- You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Silence. I am trying to look harmless, and nice. Nice looms large in Clare’s childhood, because so many people aren’t. (40)

My Teaser is HERE
I'm currently reading this one now. Aren't you loving it?
I love silence. Great teaser!
OK, mine is about what happens after that fateful middle-of-the-night phone call that tells you you won a Nobel Prize. It really happened to the Laughlin family, back in 1998," and Anita Laughlin, the wife of the winner, writes about the experience in a fun book, " Reindeer With King Gustaf. It is really a fascinating look at something that I note every year, but really had no clue about what goes into going to Stockholm and receiving the Prize, with all the hoopla, etc. There's incredible attention to detail, and everything is orchestrated flawlessly. For example, the author is allergic to roses -- so the arrangements were carefully placed so as not to be right in front of her.
this is from page 18: [[Todd shuffled sleepily into our dark bedroom, jiggled Bob’s toes, and said: “Dad, there’s some guy on the phone from Sweden. Can I go back to bed now?” ]]
Can you just imagine? What an experience.
Great teaser! I wonder if I'll ever get around to reading this book. I hope you're enjoying it!
