Challenges Update

Seeing as I've only got a month left on some of the 2008 challenges I signed up for, I thought I'd do a bit of an update to see what I had to read this month... why, oh why, did I do that? All it did was point out how easily I go off on reading tangents.

*sigh*

Sky Burial by Xinran would be a great choice for 'X'. She's also written The Good Women of China.

I read Blessings by Quindlen for 'Q'.

Zel or Zia are both kids books, but you might enjoy them. I'm reading Zenzele.

Unaccustomed Earth was really good for 'U'.

For "Y," I'm not sure if you need a book title or an author . . . but if you need a title, Geraldine Brooks' Year of Wonders is an amazing book! Set in a small English town during the 1600s, it follows one woman fighting off the Plague as it takes over their town person by person. It was really compelling and just great!

I am doing the A-Z challenge too. I read Zero G by Alton Gansky for Z. For O Jeffrey Overstreet is a good fantasy author. He wrote Auralia's Colors. I have a link on my sidebar to my list if you want to look at it. :) I am having trouble with X too.

writemeg - I've actually read Year of Wonders. I LOVE Geraldine Brooks. Have you read her book March? It's really good too, though as a Little Women fanatic, I may be a little biased.

Brittanie - Wow, you have read a lot for this challenge. I'm going to go and look up a couple and pick some out. Thanks for the recommendations.
