For the past few months I’ve heard them calling to me… and I ignored them, steadfastly refusing to give in.
You have plenty to read! I told myself. If you put one more book on by your bedside they’re going to get organised and smother you in your sleep.
So I held out.
I told people I was holding out.
I promised the girls in the bookstore I was holding out.
Then I went to see the movie.
The book is on my bedside table. Let’s just leave it there for a while and see if it makes it back to my bookshelf or not.

I don't really understand your post. So you haven't read any Harry Potter books? Or just the last two you haven't read? Or you haven't seen any of the movies except this one? I'm confused haha!
What did you think of the movie?
I keep meaning to read the books again, but the call of books that haven't been finished always seems to win out. Maybe when DH is out in theaters I'll have finally read all the books again... ^^;;
Well, if you mean you haven't read it all, then you need to read it. Like right now. Stop whatever you are doing and open it up. If you mean to re-read it, well that can probably wait. I am so looking forward to the movie. Hope it was good :)
It was so good, so very good :)
Wait ... you have read them right? You are just talking about a reread right? If you haven't read them, get it off the nightstand now and get reading!!!
I've read none and not seen any of the movies. I will, I will! But I love your description of the books coming alive to get you - have you read The Book of Lost Things? If not I think you would enjoy.
I take it you enjoyed the movie...LOL
Fiona :)
I didn't read until book 4 was published, when my mother bought me all four for Christmas. I left them sitting for 3 months, harumphing and wondering what the fuss was.
And then I read the first one and was hooked. It was all the best bits og childhood books rolled into one. The world of Enid Blyton and boarding school, games all tied up with witchcraft and suffering.
I fell hard. And I'm in my thirties!
Pick it up. Go on!
I have not read these books either, but I've seen all the movies...maybe once I've seen all the movies, I will read the books.
