Today’s MUSING MONDAYS post is about online book sites…
Do you have an account with an online book database site (LibraryThing, Shelfari, GoodReads etc)? If so, do you have a preference? Do you use it for - your own record keeping? finding new books to read? social networking?
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Musing Mondays post, or share your opinion in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks.
I have an account with Shelfari and GoodReads (user: rebeccavoy for both). I started over at Shelfari but liked the GoodReads format so I tried that one out… then couldn’t decide which one I liked best, so I’ve been on both ever since.
I use them mostly for my own record keeping – not because I really needed to, but cause I seem to have a crazy need to keep multiple copies of the same records…
I’d have several ‘friends’ on both – from people I know in RL to people I’ve hardly ever spoken to even online.
I’d like to use these sites in more ways (other than playing trivia on GoodReads) so I’m looking forward to seeing what you guys use it for.

I'm back after my brief hiatus.
Hope this finds you well sweetie!
This musing reminded me of some more catch up I need to do. Oh well :)
Here's my musing
I heart GoodReads! Here is my answer.
I <3 (love) LibraryThing.com! And, I'm like you, Rebecca, in that I tend to be anal about keeping multiple records of the same information ((see my book lists, for example!)).
My answer to today's MM question is here. ;)

The jury on this is still out for me. I think at one time or another I have been signed up for several of these but find that the really cool widgets that I covet off other peoples book blogs dont usually work with Wordpress.
I know there are other reasons to use these sights and I just have not had time to really dig into all the benefits. Possibly a winter project?
:)
Maybe after I become more efficient with my blogging, I'll be able to spend more time on those sites, but for right now, I'm finding that as far as blogging goes, I'm spending my time on other details, and these are low on the priority list.
Here's my post.
I posted my comments and thoughts on my blog, www.donurareads.blogspot.com and want to read everyone elses uses.
here's mine: http://crimsonheart.bubble.nu/index.php/2009/07/musing-mondays-27-07/

See here
Mine is here :)
Great question! I've had the same thoughts. I love all these sites, but sometimes I wonder if I could be getting more out of my membership.

Wow, really late with this one. Sorry.

I seem to always be late, guess it has something to do with time zones? Anyway, here is mine:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's late getting their answers up.
My answer's here.
Here's my answer. . . A day late. . . Again
I'm on Library Thing, Shelfari and GoodReads ... wow...I have a problem. I like LibraryThing the most -- and mostly use the others just to post reviews. : )
