Musing Mondays (March 22)

Musing Mondays2 Today’s MUSING MONDAYS post is about tbr books.

Where do you keep the books on the top of the tbr pile? Not the bunk of the mountain, but just the tip of the peak – the ‘almost up to’ books?

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Musing Mondays post, or share your opinion in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks.

I did a little tidying this week and realised just how many books had migrated from my bookshelf to my bedroom. There were… well quiet a few. In doing this I sent some shuffling meekly back to the shelf and put the rest in their usual tbr spots.

The books I’m reading now plus one or two ‘next’ books sit on the shelf above my bed for easy reach – nothing worse than having to leave a nice warm bed to grab another book.

I also have another pile tucked up on the corner of my desk. I consider this to be my ‘priority tbr pile’ and is made up of library books, borrowed books etc.

What about you? Where do you keep your tbr books?

Well, let's see (She looks around.) The book I'm currently reading is sitting next to me on the couch. Two I borrowed from my Elementary Media Center are sitting on the love seat. Most of the other recent arrivals are "decorating" the top of my entertainment center. There are 6 separate piles there right now. MG Challenge (2 piles), YA Debut Authors, and 3 piles of recent adult books. The YA pile is the shortest with only 7 books in it. If I concentrated on them I could reduce that significantly by next weekend.

I'm not sure what I'll read next because I am a total mood reader. I think that I will be grabbing The Body Finder from the YA Debut Author pile next but Voices of Dragons and the ARC of Mistwood are also there and very tempting.

I need to stop buying books until some of the piles are reduced (like that is ever going to happen ;-)).

After a busy, full week visiting family, I'm looking forward to spending this rainy March Monday in my book stacks...after I browse book blogs, o' course!

I'm a little ashamed to say that my system is not really a system at all! You can check out the ridiculousness at the post on my blog, Reading Amidst the Chaos.

I prefer to grab from the middle of the pile, thank you! :)

I do have to say I tend to read library or borrowed books first as well, so these within reach. but I've stopped reading in bed, I just fall asleep to easily, and I found I didn't get much reading done. Here's my muse.

Mine are generally in small little piles. Right now, they're split into a few more piles than usual. My full post is here.
